Fresno County, Calif. – The Fresno Council of Governments is hosting Measure C Community Workshops across Fresno County through September. On Monday, June 23 and Tuesday, June 24, Fresno and Clovis residents will have an opportunity to learn about the impact Measure C funding has made on their communities and share how they would like to see Measure C funding used for future transportation improvements. These community workshops will include dinner, refreshments, language interpretation services, and a kids activities table.
“Community engagement and resident input are essential to shaping the future of Fresno, especially as we consider the renewal of Measure C funding,” said Fresno Mayor Jerry Dyer, also a Fresno COG Policy Board Member. “It is our responsibility to ensure that Fresno residents are actively involved in these discussions and have a meaningful seat at the table. I encourage residents to participate in the upcoming Measure C renewal workshops to learn more, and to provide input on their vision for improving transportation opportunities such as paving projects, sidewalk repairs and so much more.”

“Measure C funding has significantly impacted Clovis roads, transit and transportation over the years,” said Vong Mouanoutoua, Fresno COG Policy Board Member and City of Clovis Mayor. “We want our residents to understand how their tax dollars are working and to tell us how they want to see these funds allocated going forward. These workshops are an important opportunity for community members to share their priorities for transportation improvements in Clovis and the greater Fresno County region. Join us as we work together to build a Draft Measure C Renewal Expenditure Plan for Fresno County.”
